Nostalgic technologies, 2014
motion graphic, video, whitecliffe
With this work my aim was to explore how nostalgia may be communicated to the viewer in a video that is dialogue-free. The video shows a brief narrative that explores cultural change centred upon the transition from concrete, hand-written correspondence to electronic communication. The piece developed from my personal nostalgia for letters and cards I’ve kept, most of which originate from the nineties when I was travelling and living overseas.
